Although Kimmie Candy has only been in business since 2000, it has managed to make a mark already. After a move to a Reno, Nevada plant in 2007, the company has produced candies that have shipped to many countries worldwide, though they still mainly serve the US market. Kimmie specializes in chocolate-covered nuts and seeds. While Kimmie's production of chocolate-covered almonds is nothing unique in the business, its multi-color production of chocolate-covered sunflower seeds is. They also produce a popular line of chocolates called Choco Rocks. A farmer by vocation, Joseph Dutra proudly stamps "Made in America" on all of his confections, and has created jobs for more than 30 people in the Reno area.
